Hi, I’m Aleah!
Owner and head trainer of I Heart K9!

My passion for animals began at a young age and has shaped both my education and my career. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Cal Poly Pomona, as well as a degree and certifications from Moorpark College’s renowned Exotic Animal Training and Management program, where I studied animal behavior, wildlife education, and exotic animal training.

After college, I spent several years training dogs and exotic animals for movies and television. Working in the entertainment industry gave me invaluable hands-on experience and helped me develop a deep understanding of animal behavior, communication, and training.

But what ultimately drew me back to working with family dogs was something even more meaningful: the incredible bond between people and their dogs.

That relationship is at the heart of everything we do at I Heart K9.

Registered Veterinary Technician
I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2009 and continue to actively practice in the veterinary field. My experience includes working in veterinary emergency care, specialty hospitals, and general day practice.

My professional background also includes hands-on training with exotic animals, training dogs for movies and television, and extensive experience helping pet owners through private training, group classes, behavior work, and real-world training.

MY GOAL

The relationship between a person and their dog has the potential to become an incredible partnership.

My goal is to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to build that partnership—so you can raise a dog who is confident, respectful, well-mannered, and happy.

And then I want you to get out there and enjoy life together.
